Thank you for Joining fur accord.
Here are some rules. They simple and clear.
No flaming. No trolling.
Colorful words are allowed but to a certain extent. I'll let you know if you are getting carried away.
No Junk post about nonsense.
Some of these rules when broken I'll warn ya. But if carried to far I'll ban ya.
Question: if most furry drama eventually breaks down to he-said-he-said heresay, how do you resolve that, especially when you have to rely on second-hand information to find out the truth?
If they aren't in fact lying about the topic at hand, I've found most furries are too stubborn or immature to accept any kind of constructive criticism.
Many furs can be stubborn and many can be immature, but most like Shadou Kitsune (I know him personally, he's like a blood brother to me) can be easy, and understanding, don't mistaken me, you just met the wrong kind of people like I have.
If Drama breaks out I'll (and the moderators) will control it. You have a point, drama will break out. But another goal and again, is here to keep drama under control and anybody speak what they have to say. Pointing figers will count under the No flaming rule.
Truth will come, I observe and read and listen allowing me to hand-down alternatives. I'll read through LJ's where the problem is happening, even though I'm a fur I lean to no side. So EX if the people of an Anti-fur community was struck first by a furry or whoever I will help them solve it out if they wish to come here and talk.
It sounds like your "no flaming" rule is a little more encompassing than it should be. No matter: if folks start flaming furry groups or individuals, it's usually because they are poking fun; there can be no resolution, there.
Furry-to-furry drama still usually breaks down to people taking sides, and everyone does. I'm the admin of an active local furry website, with about 200 members, and I've long-since found my stance of neutrality untenable. Guess it's something that you'll figure out on your own, though. Cheers!
Another question I have to ask because I just saw that Divefox log on your primary journal... If you can't resolve that drama with any sort of decorum (as evidenced by all the barratry, threats, and misinterpretations of our legal system), what makes you responsible enough to mediate any other furry drama in this community?
I wasn't going to post again, and I'm not trying to poke fun, but I think that if how you carried yourself while speaking with Dive is any precedent, this community stands to be more of a drama magnet than what you originally intended it to be.
Most dramas I hear about play out exactly like that. Two furs start hating eachother for various reasons, usually over roomate and/or sex drama, a few more get involved, it gets dragged to LieJournal/IRC, threats are issued, and sides are taken. I don't see any evidence of it being any different.
I know practically nothing about the Divefox situation, but I think that the mess would be a good drama to resolve in your community, if only for reputation's sake.
